Tips for Marketing on Facebook
If you track social media news regularly, it’s hard not to come across a flurry of news and insight about Facebook and Twitter anywhere you look.
The other week, I came across this excellent post by Jason Baer over on Social Media Today discussing two excellent resources that offer tips for marketing on Facebook. Whether you’re a business, PR pro or other marketer, I echo Jason’s recommendation to take a look at both free resources:

The Advance Guard – “About Face: Thoughts on how brands can leverage recent changes to Facebook pages, to better socialize their presence and engage their Fans.”
Hubspot – “How to Use Facebook for Business”
Facebook can be an excellent brand engagement tool for your company or organization but you need to have a full grasp over the basics of the platform before you jump into using pages. Be sure to check out both guides!
*Reminder, if you already have a page that had less than 1,000 fans prior to May 31, 2009, be sure to mark June 28 in your calendar so that you remember to soak up your page’s vanity URL. Great for SEO and general page reference!
