C-H-A-N-G-E.
Change is exciting. Change can also be challenging and highly rewarding at the same time. Change can come when you least expect it. For me, change is usually good as it stems from decisive action based on gut reaction. Always trust your gut.
For the past six months, I had the honor of working with an incredible boss and team as part of Waggener Edstrom’s Studio D social media consulting group. Day in and day out, I tackled challenging projects across our client base, helped with new business development and supported the agency’s Social Innovation practice. To my team and incredible colleagues at WaggEd, thank you for the fantastic experience.
Drumroll…
Moving ahead, I’ll be tackling a new series of challenges as this week marks the official start of my new role as Group Manager on Weber Shandwick’s Social Impact team here in Seattle. It’s an exciting move for me as I’ll be helping drive digital strategy across the team in support of great work the agency is doing with a variety of nonprofits and foundations. Simply put, the position is a great fit with my experience and passion around merging digital strategy with social good. If I’ve learned anything in life, it’s that our time here is short and sweet. Opportunities arise at unique times – make the most of those opportunities and never stop chasing your dreams.
I look forward to working with my new team and taking on exciting new projects!
With that, I leave you with a little motivation that I came across some time ago…
